Joshua De Lisle AWCB qualified from Hereford college of rural crafts in blacksmithing and metal work and founded his business DeLisle Designer Blacksmith in 2009. He has since gained the title Champion blacksmith 2013 and has create public art for Richmond Park in London, Joshua has also been invited to presented her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with a gift on behalf of the Royal parks for her Diamond Jubilee visit 2012 and has had the pleasure of displaying his award winning horse sculptures in the Royal entrance hall at Royal Windsor Horse Show 2013. Joshua has now been awarded the Diploma of Merit and has been made an Associate of the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths (AWCB).
“My work is a tribute of respect to the heritage of the Blacksmiths down through
the ages and how they carried humanity out of the Stone Age by their innovation in
crafting metal into tools, functional items and works of art. It was because of the
Blacksmiths that the eventual evolution and revolution of modern technology was brought
about. Further more in my designing, I look out into the natural world where I am
inspired by what I see as majestically unparalleled craftsmanship, ultimately designed
and created purposefully by God” -
